Founded in 1983, Se Kwang Textile has been producing specialised covered yarns using spandex and nylon. Since establishing our Incheon factory in 1983, we have expanded production to factories in Cheonju, Daecheon, and Ungcheon.
We obtained an ISO 9001 certificate in 2003, which has kept us committed to globally recognised quality for over 20 years.

Our Specialisations
Spandex Nylon Covered Yarn
Spandex is a synthetic fibre known for its exceptional elasticity and light weight, used for manufacturing stretchable materials. First produced in the early 1950s, spandex was initially developed as a replacement for rubber. However, new applications for spandex are continually being developed and combined with other synthetic polymers such as Nylon.
Single Covered Yarn (SCY) and Double Covered Yarn (DCY)
Single Covered Yarns (SCY) are created by wrapping the polyamide such as Nylon, around the fibre. The polyamide used can be flat, textured, multifilament or microfilament. The greater the number of coils, the better the quality and performance of the yarn. Double Covered Yarn (DCY) are wrapped a second layer of nylon around the spandex core, increasing its durability and strength, producing a firmer feel.
